Saxony-Anhalt is a young federal state with a long industrial tradition. Technical Innovations and the convenient location at the heart of Europe allowed the development of a centre of industrial progress in this region at the beginning of the 20th Century.

Eighteen years after the reunification, the innovation potential of Saxony-Anhalt is again a fundamental strength of the state. The basis for this is the well-developed research community and the close cooperation between science and economy. The solar industry in Saxony-Anhalt can benefit in particular from the expertise and knowledge of the excellent universities and research institutes in the country.
Nowadays, Saxony-Anhalt covers one-fifth of its energy from renewable energy sources. In 2012, up to 10,000 people will be employed in the "Solar Valley". The region is expected to be the centre of the world's largest photovoltaic technology.

The industrial park is a unique business park, developed and implemented on the basis of an integrative project by the SRU group. On the commercial area of approximately 30 hectares, the company built the VEGA halls where photovoltaic systems can be mounted under the best conditions.
The feed-in commitment for the first 9 MWp and the entry points have been determined and calculated.

Berga is located in Saxony-Anhalt directly on the A38 motorway, exactly in the middle between Sangerhausen and Nordhausen. Berga is a thriving community located in the south-west of the district of Mansfeld-Südharz. Bordering the Land of Thuringia in the west and is located in the center of the "Solar Valley''. As a development center for the „Western District", it is one of the three development centers in the district Sangerhausen.
This is an interesting site, which has already excelled in extensive commercial development. A crucial factor is the existing industrial estate with a net area of approximately 30 hectares and a utilization of about 90%. The success and experience in the implementation and settlement of the first industrial area have led to the decision to create another industrial and commercial park for investors. This new business park is located immediately to the east of the existing industrial area.
